I’ve never used Maya before and after using it twice now I don’t really know what to make of it.
Every time I try a new program like this I tend to compare it to programs I already know. Maya reminds me of a combination of Flash, Photoshop and Illustrator. Only not as easy to use.
Since I don’t understand the program yet it feels a bit early to decide what kind of movie to make, but I think I want to make something that reminds a bit of a flash banner I once made. Link

Idea
Something like this: A small pumpkin grows under a big tree. We get to follow the pumpkin as it grows big and as the season around it changes until autumn and Halloween were the pumpkin turns into a happy lantern just before the first snow.
Something like that… I’ll probably work some more on the idea later when I’m not sick.

First day of school was okay. I was tired. That was all.
Second day off school started okay but then in the evening I started to feel bad. My throat started hurting and during the night it kept me from sleeping alright.
Then the next day: Wham! Fever and a two hour lecture. It wasn’t fun.

Today it’s pretty much the same. Fever and a throat that’s trying to kill me. My body aces and my head feel like it’s twice its normal size.
I hate that I always get sick when I get back to school.
At least it’s really early this year. Maybe I’ll be cold free for the rest of the term now. Please?

I’ll try to come up with an idea for my 3D-movie/thing today. It’s kinda hard to think straight when your head is the size of a beach ball and full of… something mushy.

It’s a castle. Yay.

It begins on Monday. The school.
I won’t lie and say I expect a glorious joyride this term – last year proved rather demanding. :blank:
But as I was watching the schedule today I realized the media integration course will actually be about XML. (I’d missed that when looking through the course plan, only searching for books. Silly me.)

Anyhow, this might seem highly unnatural, but I actually look forward to some decent old web programming again. I don’t know much about XML – or XSL or DTD for that matter, but I’m looking forward to learn.
Feels good that at least one subject this term is something I can wrap my mind around and actually have some use for in the future. Oh, and I saw Silverlight on the schedule too. That’ll be interesting.

BUT let’s not jump ahead of ourselves here. I thought the storytelling course would be a blast, but everyone knows how that one ended.
Fingers crossed though.

I’m in the middle of my annual oh-noes-school-starts-soon deprivation.
It’s been a good summer and I feel kind of sad to see it go. It’s like Mother Nature flicked a switch and suddenly autumn was here.

Ah well, I can’t do much about that. I just wish I knew what to expect from the upcoming term. At the moment we don’t even have a schedule. HV has switched from the working system, Neverlost, to the nonworking system Foreverlost.
Forgive me for laughing, but… Sweden’s most modern university? Suuuuuuure!

So WP wanted to be updated – again. This time it was very painless due to previous backup. Phew… :puh:

I’ve also uploaded some new pictures to the gallery. More to come later, but I’ve never really liked mass updates to thus you have to settle with this in the mean time.

Indeed it’s growing. I’m thinking about splitting it into two different folders, but not sure how yet. I’m not sure it’s an issue you have to scroll down the gallery a lot or not.

Finally finished another WordPress update. I’ve backed up my config file for the future and I’ve customized the functions file to add some more smileys that are more the way I like them. Aren’t they cute?

Next thing to do: Upload stuff in the gallery. Yup. Doing that next.
